Our founder didn't come from tech. He came from window cleaning — and from years of watching good work lose to good marketing.
Before Bidro was an app, it was a frustration. Our founder ran a window-cleaning business in North Texas and, like most small service businesses, relied on the big lead platforms to find customers. The experience was the same one thousands of pros know by heart: pay for a lead, discover it was sold to four competitors, race to call first, and lose the job anyway — then watch companies with bigger ad budgets sit above you in the rankings regardless of the quality of their work.
The worst part wasn't the money. It was the incentive structure. The platforms got paid when vendors bought leads and placement — not when jobs went well. Quality was, at best, a side effect.
So he started sketching what a fairer version would look like. Three rules kept coming back:
Bidro is launching in Denton County, Texas, with the three services we know best from the field: pressure washing, window cleaning, and gutter cleaning. Starting narrow is deliberate. We'd rather do three services well in one county than twenty services badly everywhere.
Trust is the product. Every pro on Bidro verifies their identity and carries verified insurance before taking a job. Every review comes from a real, completed, paid job. If homeowners can't trust the marketplace, nothing else matters.
Local matters. These are people coming to your home. We think that market works better when the platform behind it is close by, knows its pros, and answers its email.
Grow slowly, earn it. More services and more cities will come — when we're confident we can maintain the standard, not before.
Bidro is based in Denton County, Texas, operated by Bidro LLC. The mobile apps (iOS and Android) are in final review and launching soon. If you'd like to reach us — homeowner, pro, or just curious — we're at support@joinbidro.com.
We're small, local, and building this carefully.
